Supply Chain Management
When African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (AEMFC) procures goods, services, or works, it follows established procurement mechanisms to ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
To be eligible to participate in the procurement processes of AEMFC suppliers are required to be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD). The CSD can be accessed on https://secure.csd.gov.za/.
Suppliers must also ensure that their tax affairs are fully compliant with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) at all times.
Tax compliance status on the CSD is critical. Non-compliance may adversely affect a supplier’s eligibility to participate in procurement opportunities.
Fraudulent or Fake Transactions
Prospective tenderers and suppliers are hereby cautioned that fraudulent Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Purchase Orders (PO) are periodically circulated using the name, branding, or logo of the African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (AEMFC) and, in some instances, other government entities.
AEMFC strongly advises all suppliers and tenderers to verify the authenticity of any RFP, RFQ, or purchase order prior to taking action. Verification should be conducted directly with AEMFC using the official contact details provided on this website, or with the relevant government institution where applicable.
Suppliers are urged not to rely solely on the appearance or format of documentation, as fraudulent communications may closely resemble legitimate procurement documents.
AEMFC shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or costs incurred as a result of acting on fraudulent or unauthorised RFPs, RFQs, or purchase orders, including the delivery of goods or services against such invalid instructions.
